Patho Biochemistry

At the Institute of Biochemistry I - Pathobiochemistry, we study fundamental biochemical processes in cells and tissues that are associated with inflammation, immune-disorders, and tumor biology. Our projects elucidate biochemical mechanisms in innate immune cells that shape both, the onset and resolution of inflammation, and aim at clarifying their multiple roles in the tumor microenvironment.

We collaborate with a world-spanning scientific network, which includes individual academics, structured research consortia, and industry. Our lab is equipped with state-of-the-art technology platforms run by an international and interdisciplinary team of postdocs, PhD and MD students as well as lab technicians.
