Doctoral Researcher Positions (all genders welcome)

Initially limited for 3 years with the prospect of prolongation. The classification refers to job characteristics of the collective agreement (TV GU) applicable to Goethe-University.
The positon is associated with aspects of pathobiochemistry, molecular and cellbiological tasks as part of research projects in inflammation and immune cell biology. The working group is interested in macrophage polarization in inflammation versus healing. This includes works on lipidmediators, Hypoxie, the iron metabolism and tumorprogression (www.pathobiochemie1.de).
The Institute provides excellent facilities to conduct interdisciplinary research in biochemistry and molecular biology of cell signaling, identifying mechanisms of cell/tissue injury and adaptive responses. We offer an attractive surrounding for modern sciences in actual areas of patho-biochemistry and in molecular medicine.

initially limited to 3 years with a potential long-term subsequent employment. The salary grade is based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement (TV-G-U) applicable to Goethe University.
The successful candidate will lead a research group, supervise PhD students and is expected to participate in biochemistry teaching. A University career (“Habilitation”, University lectureship qualification) track with the establishment of an independent Research Group Leader position will be possible.
The candidate will be working in a project with biochemical, molecular biology and cell biology tasks. Research interests are expected towards: macrophage polarization, the role of macrophages in tumor biology, or research dedicated to lipid or iron metabolism.The Institute provides excellent facilities to conduct interdisciplinary research in biochemistry and molecular biology of cell signaling, identifying mechanisms of cell/tissue injury and adaptive responses. Technische*n Assistenten*Assistentin - TA/BTA/Bachelor (m/w/d)
(E 09a TV-G-U)zur Mitarbeit im Projekt „Regulation und Funktion von Lipidmediatoren“ zunächst befristet für zwei Jahre mit der Option auf Verlängerung zu besetzten. Die Eingruppierung richtet sich nach den Tätigkeitsmerkmalen des für die Goethe-Universität geltenden Tarifvertrages (TV-G-U).
Ihr Tätigkeitsbereich umfasst die selbständige und verantwortungsvolle Durchführung biochemischer, molekular- und zellbiologischer Arbeiten zur Immunzellbiologie (Entzündung und Heilung) sowie Verwaltung und Durchführen von Tierversuchen inkl. Züchtungen der Versuchstiere, Anfertigen von Gewebeschnitten (Immunhistochemie) und Probenvorbereitung für „state of the art“-Techniken (FACS, MS u.v.m.).
Weitere Tätigkeiten umfassen die Unterstützung bei administrativen Prozesse im Laborbetrieb und allgemeine Labortätigkeiten. Darüber hinaus gehört die gewissenhafte Dokumentation der Vorgänge und Ergebnisse zum Arbeitsbereich.
Ihr Profil:- eine Berufsausbildung als Laborant, MTA, BTA, CTA oder ein erfolgreich absolviertes Hochschulstudium mit Bachelorabschluss in Biologie/Chemie/Biochemie/Pharmazie oder vergleichbar
- sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
- Kenntnisse von Office-Anwendungen
- sehr gute Fähigkeit zur Selbstorganisation, hohes Maß an Genauigkeit, gewissenhafte Arbeitsweise und Freude am Arbeiten im Team
Erfahrungen in der Durchführung biochemischer, molekular- und zellbiologischer Methoden, Erfahrungen mit Arbeiten mit Zellkulturen, Erfahrungen auf den Gebieten Histologie und Mikroskopie, Wissen über gentechnische Regularien sowie die Erlaubnis zur Durchführung von Tierversuchen und erste Kenntnisse im Umgang mit Versuchstieren sind wünschenswert, aber nicht Voraussetzung. Nötige Befugnisse und Kenntnisse können am Institut erworben werden.
