Doctoral Researcher Positions (all genders welcome)

Initially limited for 3 years with the prospect of prolongation. The classification refers to job characteristics of the collective agreement (TV GU) applicable to Goethe-University.
The positon is associated with aspects of pathobiochemistry, molecular and cellbiological tasks as part of research projects in inflammation and immune cell biology. The working group is interested in macrophage polarization in inflammation versus healing. This includes works on lipidmediators, Hypoxie, the iron metabolism and tumorprogression (www.pathobiochemie1.de).
The Institute provides excellent facilities to conduct interdisciplinary research in biochemistry and molecular biology of cell signaling, identifying mechanisms of cell/tissue injury and adaptive responses. We offer an attractive surrounding for modern sciences in actual areas of patho-biochemistry and in molecular medicine.

Postdoc positions (all gender welcome)(E13 TV-G-U)
initially limited to 3 years with a potential long-term subsequent employment. The salary grade is based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement (TV-G-U) applicable to Goethe University.
The successful candidate will lead a research group, supervise PhD students and is expected to participate in biochemistry teaching. A University career (“Habilitation”, University lectureship qualification) track with the establishment of an independent Research Group Leader position will be possible.
The candidate will be working in a project with biochemical, molecular biology and cell biology tasks. Research interests are expected towards: macrophage polarization, the role of macrophages in tumor biology, or research dedicated to lipid or iron metabolism.The Institute provides excellent facilities to conduct interdisciplinary research in biochemistry and molecular biology of cell signaling, identifying mechanisms of cell/tissue injury and adaptive responses.
